The White House vegetable garden is about to become a culinary battlefield.
It’s a delight for the fans of Food Network’s programming. The First Lady Michelle Obama is set to be the first Presidential wife to appear on a Reality TV Series. She will make a guest appearance on "Iron Chef America" which features British Cook Nigella Lawson, Olympic gold medalist Natalie Coughlin, and actress Jane Seymour as a judge.
The White House approached the Food Network about filming ‘Iron Chef America’ as a way to reach those people who haven’t heard yet about the first lady’s efforts to curb childhood obesity through healthy eating and exercise.
Though she is not going to cook, she would present the present the challenge, which will be taped at the White House. The chefs have to use food from the White House garden!. Many of the ingredients for the meals prepared in the show were chosen from the recently planted at the White House from the 1,100-square-foot vegetable garden.
