Australian Women’s magazine New Idea is in hot water with Demi Moore after she claimed the mag published copyright infringing photographs. Demi filed a claim with the Federal Court last, claiming that New Idea infringed her copyright when they featured photos of Demi on its March 8 edition cover.

The photos were taken in February at a Los Angeles Oscars Party, organized by Demi and Madonna, and featured Demi, daughter Rumer Willis, rap mogul P. Diddy and Lord Of The Rings star Orlando Bloom.

The photographer at the party signed a deal to give the shots to party organizer Jeffrey Best, who then agreed to sell them to Demi.  This wasn’t to be the case however, and the images finally landed in the possession of Pacific Magazines – owned by Channel Seven.

Demi is seeking damages from Pacific magazines for an undisclosed amount – she has also asked the company for its profits made as a result of running the images as an alternative.   Source
