Travis Barker, the former drummer with the group Blink 182, and Adam Goldstein, also known as DJ AM, were hospitalized in critical condition with severe burns after the fatal crash of a Learjet Friday on take-off from Columbia S.C.   Four other people on board the jet — two other passengers and a pilot and co-pilot — all died in the accident. Their identities have not been released.

Barker and Goldstein got out of the plane on their own before rescue crews arrived, according to Lynne Douglas, a spokesperson for the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. The four who died never emerged from the plane’s burning wreckage.  Source

Update: TMZ is reporting that Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction was not on the plane that crashed, critically injuring Travis Barker and DJ AM.  What is not accounted for — whether Gavin DeGraw was on the plane.

Update2: TMZ is reporting that Travis Barker has been burned from the waist down, but he is expected to survive the plane crash. DJ AM’s face was severely burned and is being tended to right now.   We’re also told the tragedy is all the worse because one of the passengers who died, Chris Baker, Travis’ assistant on "Meet the Barkers," was married recently and has a new baby.
