What do you do if you win eight gold medals and become the Greatest Olympian of All Time? Head to Disney World of course. Michael Phelps will appear at Walt Disney World in Orlando on Friday for a hero’s welcome. Which seems only fitting for a guy who turned the whole nation on to swimming, and the Olympics, in just one week during Beijing.
Mickey Mouse, and the whole theme park, will give Phelps an "America’s Homecoming Parade" on Friday. One of the park’s representatives described it as a "star-spangled salute amidst confetti and thousands of flag-waving fans."
In a time of economic crisis, it’s always nice to have a hero to look up to. It gives the nation something to be proud of and justifies that deep hidden belief most of us have that says our dreams someday will come true.
What a better place to have dreams come true than Walt Disney World. Have a fun parade and enjoy your hero’s welcome Michael, after all you deserve it — your dreams came true. Source
