Adrian Peterson - Rookie Of The Year - Good Job!
by Jody in Adrian Peterson, NFL, Rookie of the Year
The Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award won by Adrian Peterson. Talk about refusing to become merely a product of your environment - Mr. Peterson demonstrates that people with character have choices. Adrian Peterson has risen to the top of the most competitive game in the world while dealing with the following: He was thirteen years old when his father was sentenced to ten years in prison for money laundering in connection with illegal drug charges. His dad served nearly eight years of his prison sentence and was released in October 2006. Adrian Peterson’s brother, Brian Peterson, was killed at the age of nine by a drunk driver while riding his bicycle while his stepbrother, Chris Paris, was shot and killed only one day before Adrian’s participation in the 2007 NFL Scouting Combine.
You can’t rule out character when trying to predict human outcomes and that is why such predictions are so hard to make accurately. Without knowing a person’s character it is impossible to say whether adversity will drive them to the top or the bottom.
